Each room is thoughtfully designed with a blue and white theme. Our room had two queen beds and a wide bathroom. As you settle in, the blend of nature’s sounds and scenic views creates the perfect backdrop for unwinding.

Tiny Wave Asian Kitchen quickly became our go-to spot for breakfast. If you book directly with Santiago Cove Hotel, you’ll start each day with a complimentary Ilocano breakfast buffet, where you can enjoy local dishes that showcase regional flavors. If you’re not checked in, the buffet is available for just P400 per person.

For lunch or dinner, don’t miss the samgyupsal and seafood rice—they were hands-down our favorites! Tiny Wave also has a poolside bar where you can order cold drinks and refreshing cocktails, perfect for sipping while lounging by the pool.

You can opt to dine by the pool or inside where you get a view of the cove.

Rodrigo’s Roast + Resto + Bar

If you’re in the mood for authentic Filipino flavors, Rodrigo’s won’t disappoint. This spot celebrates the culinary heritage of the region, with each dish beautifully prepared to highlight local ingredients. We especially loved the empanada and halo-halo—classics done exceptionally well.

Rodrigo’s also hosts the annual Rambak Musika Battle of the Bands, making it a lively spot if you’re around during the event. When the dining area by the beach is open, you can enjoy acoustic music while dining with a view of the sea.

BGVL Cafe + Bakeshop

For breakfast lovers, BGVL Cafe + Bakeshop offers a perfect mix of Filipino and international staples. Whether you’re craving fluffy pancakes drizzled with local honey, savory Filipino tapa, or just a simple breakfast with fresh tropical fruits, this cafe has you covered.

Our favorites included the pizza, pancakes, breakfast meals, and grilled options. BGVL’s flexible hours mean you can enjoy breakfast no matter your schedule.

Rubra Sky Lounge

Rubra Sky Lounge is perched on the rooftop of the Santiago Cove Hotel Annex, offering a panoramic view of Sabangan Cove. We recommend visiting when the Bougainvillea flowers are in bloom—it’s absolutely stunning! The last time (around March) we stayed in the hotel, the flowers were in bloom. And with the white and blue backdrop, the place looked like a piece of Santorini.

Rubra also sometimes host buffet events and always has cocktails on offer.

We loved the paella, Mangalap cocktail, and the poutine. It’s an ideal spot for an evening meal or a casual hangout with friends. Ryk had a blast singing karaoke and I got full on eating the food that I forgot to take photos (except for the dessert) 😛

Non-guests can access the pool for P500, with a P300 food and drink consumable credit. It’s also a fantastic venue for private events.

The Cove Beach Bar

While we were eager to check out The Cove Beach Bar, it was unfortunately closed during our visit due to high tide and the recent typhoon. We’ll definitely be back to experience it next time!

• Santiago Project by Aluminak: This unique tour showcases impressive architecture, including refreshments, for P350. Make sure to bring a powerbank! You’ll be taking lots of photos during your tour.
• Corazon Agosto’s Loom Weaving: Stop by to meet the local weavers and see their beautiful designs—a thoughtful option for souvenirs.
